Dr. Johnathan Reiner (MD), Senior Neurologist and Movement Disorder Specialist, Rabin Medical Center

Dr. Johnathan Reiner is a highly accomplished neurologist with extensive expertise in movement disorders and neuromodulation therapies. He is the Director of the Neuromodulation and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Service at Rabin Medical Center in Israel, where he leads pioneering clinical work in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. Dr. Reiner obtained his medical degree (MBBS/MD) from University College London (UCL) in 2011, following his first-class honors in Neuroscience (BSc) from King’s College London. He is board-certified by both the Israeli Medical Board and the UK General Medical Council, holding licenses in both countries. His medical journey has been distinguished by numerous prestigious fellowships and clinical electives, including advanced DBS training at UCSF, California. In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Reiner is an esteemed educator, serving as a tutor and clinical instructor for neurology rotations at Tel-Aviv and Ariel Universities. His research has significantly contributed to the field of movement disorders, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, including studies on DBS, Parkinson’s disease, and neurophysiology. Dr. Reiner’s work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the 2024 International Young Neurologists Leader Training Program by Medtronic and the 2022 Certificate of Excellence in Teaching from Tel Aviv University. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the Israel Neurology Association, the International Movement Disorder Society, and the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity.
