Kozhokaru Anzhela B., MD, PhD. , is head of the Center for Clinical Neurophysiology and Neurofunctional Diagnostics of Biomedical and Biological University of Innovation and Continuing Education of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “A. I. Burnazyan Federal Medical Biophysical Center” of the FMBA of Moscow, Russia. Degree in Medicine (1997), and specialization in Neurology (2000), University of Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, achieved Post-Doctoral fellow in Neurology (Epileptology and Somnology) at E. I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry. Field of her scientific interest are: Sleep disorders at different ages, with specific focus on the relationship between sleep disorders and cognitive disorders, breathing disorders, apnea syndrome, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases; Sleep disorder therapy (pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods) and study of early biomarkers in cognitive impairment and in the cognitive reserve model; Study of connectivity in various diseases (cognitive impairment, memory, attention, behavior disorders, as well as in conditions of chronic post-stress disorder); Investigation of early signs of cognitive impairment and hearing loss, with emphasis on early sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) after traumatic noise; Epilepsy different areas (child, adults and pregnant women), including epileptic status in emergency neurology; Diagnosis and management of sleep-dependent epilepsy, and the impact of ASM and cognitive behavioral therapy on sleep architecture. Prof. Kozhokaru is Author of more than 60 publications.
